Training
Howler's Dog Sports offers professional training programs designed to build confidence, improve behaviour, and strengthen the bond between you and your dog. With over 25 years of hands-on experience, our trainers focus on clear communication, consistency, and positive learning environments.
Training is customized to suit each dog’s temperament, age, and learning style. Whether you’re starting with the basics or working through specific behavioural challenges, we provide structured guidance and practical tools for long-term success.

Obedience 1 - Beginner
This basic obedience course ensures your 4 month and older companion gets the foundational instruction and knowledge they require to set them on the road to a solid foundation of basic commands in obedience. This course will begin the process to imprint positive behaviours in a fun way. Basic skills we will help you develop are settle your dog, solid recalls, sit, leave-it, heeling, loose leash walking, leash awareness, engagement and relationship building

Obedience 2 - Intermediate - Starting April 21st @ 6pm
During these sessions, your dog will begin to understand your body language, cues, and motions and reinforce commands. We will help you develop skills to understand your dog's behaviours, traits common with the breed, addressing problem behaviours, and reinforcing acceptable behaviours.
You will also develop the skills to reinforce positive behaviours. Basic skills we will help you develop, how to settle your dog in stressful situations, create and maintain solid recalls, solid sit and sit stays, solid down and down stays, leave it and ignore, placing and place stay, heeling and walking, leash awareness and handler skills, engagement and relationship building.

Film Dog Workshop
Film dog workshop Come learn how to prepare your dog to work in film! We will cover what to expect on a film set and key skills needed for dog actors. The key skills we will cover are - Hitting a mark - Reliable stays - Head down - Staying on their side - Eye target - And some additional skills Dogs should know a sit and down to be able to participate and be able to work around other dogs. Participants are able to bring more than one dog. What to bring - More treats than you could ever imagine - Non retractable leash - Crate for your dog to hang out in - Target stick - Paw target (coaster, tile sample, little elevated surface etc) - 1-2 dog toys - Blanket
